Upstage Players

The Upsala Upstage Players will be holding auditions for "Once Upon a Mattress" by Mary Rodgers on May 19 & 20 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium.  "Once Upon a Mattress" is an adaptation of the fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. The story revolves around Prince Dauntless, who is looking to marry a princess, his mute father King Sextimus, and Queen Aggravain, his mother, who creates impossible tests for the princesses to master before the marriage can occur!

Rehearsals are tentatively planned for Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

The Upstage Players are deep in rehearsals for their upcoming production of "The Butler Did It!" by Todd Wallinger.  It's a comedy that you won't want to miss!  The show will run January 25 and 26 at 7:30 and January 27 at 2:00 in the Upsala High School auditorium.   Tickets are $8 adults $7 students and seniors.  They also will be offering a weekend pass - purchase the pass for $15 and get into all three productions!  What a deal!  Tickets and passes available at the door.

Auditions for the Upstage Players production of "The Butler Did It!" by Todd Wallinger will be Tuesday, November 27 at 7:00 in the high school auditorium.   The world's greatest mystery author Edwina Corry arrives at the Covington mansion just in time to solve the mystery of who stabbed the arrogant neighbor Trevor and why.  Everyone suspects the butler. In all great mysteries it's the butler.  But did Jenkins really commit the crime?  Could it be feisty gram who carries a gun to fight the vile Dutchman?  Perhaps the chatty priest that talks in circles?

Join us as we travel the yellow brick road to Oz! Tickets are available at the door.

Auditions for the Upstage Player's Production of The Wizard of Oz are Saturday, May 19; Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 at 6:00pm in the Upsala High School auditorium.  Auditions are open to all age groups.  Past experience is not necessary.  You need to only attend one of the audition dates.  Hope to see you there!

The Upstage Players is hosting auditions for its summer community theatre production, The Wizard of Oz. Auditions will be held in the auditorium at the Upsala High School on May 19, 21, and 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Those auditioning will be asked to dramatically interpret a short section of the script and sing a part of a song from the movie version of The Wizard of Oz. Young actors who cannot yet read should come prepared to dramatically tell and act out a short story of choice (i.e. “The Three Little Pigs,” “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”).
